Assignment 4: Capturing the Sides of Hana

Soft and gentle, much like the flattering diffused light that cascades upon her. The light was placed directly in front of the model in order to get an even cast of light. A Rosco Tough Spun diffusion filter was used. The Inverse Square Law can be applied to this photo when seeing how brightly lit the subject is as she was positioned close to the light source.
Dark. Edgy. Mysterious. This girl has two sides, but neither of them are good. She likes the side directed light to hide half her face, and she doesn't care about all of the imperfections captured under hard the light. The law of light that states that light travels in a straight line is demonstrated in this photo because the light source is on the side of the model's face and that side is the only illuminated side.
